Ryan played college hockey at Norwich University (DIII) and at Trinity College School in Ontario, Canada. He is a USA Hockey Level 5 Master Coach. Ryan is an Associate Coach in Chief as well as a Coaching Education Program Instructor for the Atlantic District of USA Hockey. He is the head coach of the St. Joseph-Metuchen High School team and has been coaching youth hockey for over fifteen years.

Adam attended Notre Dame High School where he finished as the 6th all-time leading scorer in New Jersey High School Hockey history with 278 points. Adam went on to play four years of Division I college hockey at the University of Maine. Adam has been coaching with Princeton Youth for four seasons and his teams have reached the NJYHL playoffs in all four seasons, including two trips to the Atlantic District championships. Adam is a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 coach and is also an assistant coach at Princeton Day School.

Ian Mc Nally
Ian hails from Guelph, Ontario where he played youth and Jr. hockey before arriving in New Jersey to play with Princeton University. He has been involved with PYHA as a coach across all age groups since 2005. He also coaches at The Hun School where he lives wife his wife Megan and four children.
We anticipate fielding 2 (possibly 3) teams which will be separated by skill level at tryouts as determined by Coaching Director Ryan Carter and 8U Head Coach Ian McNally. Assistant Coaches will be assigned to each team following the tryout based on player placement.

Frank Bason, Jr.
He grew up in Michigan and began skating in 1973. Garth started playing ice hockey at the age of 4 in the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association in Southwest Michigan. In high school he played varsity and lettered ever year freshman through senion year 1983-1987. He captained his high school team, the "Portage Central Mustangs" which was a perennial state championship contender. The Mustangs played twice 1983 and 1986 in the final 4 Class "A" state high school championships in Flint, Michigan. He received Michigan High School All State Class "A" honors at the center position his senior year. Garth walked onto the ice hockey team at the University of Notre Dame his sophomore year. His career was cut short by a serious injury early that season. Garth has coached since 2004 (Mites to Midgets) in New Jersey. His hockey philosophy is "Hard Work, Discipline and FUN!!!"
The following coaches are committed to coach at the 12U level and will be placed with a team at the conclusion of tryouts.
Paul is a returning coach with PYHA, previously coaching at the 8U, 10U and 12U levels. He played youth hockey for the Philadelphia Jr Flyers and played college club hockey at the University of Pennsylvania. His PYHA teams are high achieving with NJYHL playoff participation in most years.
During the 2017-18 season Coach Nobilio was a Varsity Assistant Coach at Steinert High School. Prior to joining Steinert he also spent time coaching with the Bridgewater Bears Organization, and was a head counselor for the Paul Vincent Hockey Camp. Coach Nobilio’s focus was teaching proper skating and stick-handling techniques skills to peewees through midgets. As a player, Joe played college hockey at Western New England College. Prior to college, Joe played for Bridgewater Bears Hockey Club and St. Joseph Metuchen High School and was selected to Team New Jersey in 2003 and 2004 and Atlantic District Festival Team 16's and 17's.
Nathaniel graduated from St Joseph High School in 2013, finishing as the school's 2nd all-time leading scorer with 154 points and was named the Home News Tribune player of the year in 2013. He also captained the 2013 PYHA 18UAA team that advanced to USA Hockey Nationals. Most recently, Nathaniel played 3 years for Cornell University on their ACHA D1 team, acting as captain for that team the past 2 years. Nathaniel coached the PYHA 16AA team in the 2-17-2018 season, taking the team to the NJYHL playoffs.
